Anne Morgan

Anne Morgan is an award-winning contemporary jeweller based in South Wales. After graduating in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from Buckinghamshire College in 1996, she developed her own jewellery practice and has been making jewellery for around 25 years. Her work is characterised by expressive, tactile surfaces and an appreciation for the imperfect qualities of handmade metalwork.  

Reticulation is central to her practice. Anne deliberately allows the silver to develop unpredictable textures during the making process, then designs three-dimensional jewellery around those surfaces. This gives each piece a strong sense of individuality and makes the making process visible in the finished object.  

Anne has received Arts Council of Wales support and has undertaken significant commissions, including the crown for the National Eisteddfod of Wales and an award for BBC Young Musician of the Year 2020. She also runs the Anne Morgan Jewellery Gallery in Penarth, showcasing her own work alongside more than 25 contemporary jewellers.
